Chapter 7

Lord of the Flies
Chapter 7: Shadows and Tall Trees
Piggy, were going to be late
Perspective: Simon

Today when Ralph hit a boar in the nose we all started to play a game. The games where someone (in this case Robert) pretends to be the boar and everyone circles around him and pokes him with the but ends of our spears. His imitation of the pigs face looked like he had just eaten a bucket of brine. After this we got much exited and got a big energy boost. I think this really helped all of our moods. Today while we were all having fun Jack cracked a joke about instead of pretending with a hunter that they could kill a littlun. I think that this foreshadows Jack killing some littluns.
Today we also found proof that the beastie was real. When we climbed to the top of the mountain to relight the fire we saw a smudge that was moving. It seemed as if it was guarding the fire and it didn’t want us to be rescued. Sam n’ Eric was right about the beast. It had claws, wings, fangs and it was pretty scary. Even Jack didn’t know what to do. He was for once scared and I heard doubt in his voice. There also might be another side to this story. Ralph and Jack just might be really gullible and there minds might be playing tricks on them. In these moors on this island who knows if you’re going crazy or not. Also I thought after his assembly he had become more sagely.
I feel that when we play the spear the pig game we get a big energy boost and it helps brighten our moods. This worked when we were looking for the beastie and we were all dun. It also helps kill the windiness feeling off.

Chapter 6

Chapter 6
Beast from Air
Think about it Jack
Piggy’s Perspective

Today we saw a sign from the grown up world. There was a big flash like something flailing and some sort of aviator comes down. It kind of sounded like a plane getting hit; after all it is world war two. We didn’t seem to be afraid of it though because it seemed like a good sign to us. Like some sort of hope of being rescued. Sam and Eric became very scared this night. They were in charge of the fire and they say they saw the beastie. They ran back to camp and woke us all up. Ralph raised the conch instead of blowing it to not show the beastie were they we were. The twins start describing it and say it has wings, sharp claws and teeth and that it chased after them and almost got them. Jack instantly without thinking says lets go lookout for beastie so we can kill it. One place he wants to look at is there is the guano by the pink rocks on the mountain. Every time he hears about the beastie he becomes waxy. Ralph on the other hand actually thought about it and said that we needed to protect the shelters. When they start arguing about this stuff I feel embroiled in it automatically because of how mean Jack is to me. There fight is getting interminable. I personally don’t think there even is a beast because scientifically that’s impossible. So they can’t exist. Also I think this might be the aviator that fell from the sky.

Chapter 5
Beast from Water
I should quit being Chief
Ralphs Perspective

I called an assembly today because I’m getting tired of no one listening to me. This assembly will not be for fun or for games and chat, this will be to set things right. Some concerns I brang up were; you have to pee on the rocks by the beach, no lighting fires wherever you want only the top of the mountain, doing you’re job and most importantly keep the fire going. I feel bad about the way things are going for us. No one is doing there jobs which I assigned to them and this is preventing any work from being done. They al say they will do it and do they do it? No! The worst thing that happened was that Jacks hunters let the fire out! I feel everything is breaking up because no one is doing there job and were not getting anything done. The littluns are pooping on the fruit and poisoning our systems. Also me and Jack are starting to get mad at each other a lot these days.
I’ve noticed something strange happening every night. I hear the littluns screaming and yelling in their dreams. They seem to be dreaming about the beastie and this I think is a big problem. A kid today stood up in the assembly and said that the beast came from the water. Now everyone is scared and I don’t know what to say.
I think the dirtiest thing about human nature is how we poop everywhere and we don’t even care. Were to lazy to just walk a little and keep everything clean.
I’m thinking about giving up my position of chief to Jack. Jack seems to know what he’s doing and everyone loves him and listens to him. I think I have changed on this island because I know now that Piggy’s a good tool and now I’m thinking ahead, trying to make the smart decisions.

Chapter 4

Chapter 4
Painted Faces and Long Hair
I Killed a Pig!
Jack’s Perspective
Some things I’m having trouble adapting to be the coldness of the night. I am also not used to no adults although I do like that there is no one to boss us around. The hunting of the pig is turning into a game of mine and I love my job as a hunter. In England I used to always get into fights but there wouldn’t be any blood like now when I slice a pig’s throat.

The littluns are pretty lazy and are pretty much all no help at all. I think I’m going to train them as if they are in boot camp so they start getting some work done. This won't be there fun place were they get heaven and imagine lip balm. So far the choir boys are doing very well. So well we’ve killed a pig. The littluns just play all day and eat fruit, rotten or ripe. They swim in gouts and make sandcastles and just have fun all day long.

The main reason we paint our faces is because I think that the pig only sees us but not smell us. We also have to be carefull and not be blatant. This makes us blend in with the whole forest. Also the swarthiness of our skin helps to. Currently we use charcoal and different colors of clay to pain out faces. When we paint our faces it foreshadows a hunt for the pigs and hopefully fresh meat. When I paint my face I feel fierce and paramount to the others. I feel like I hold power and that no one can stand in my way, and I feel ready to hunt!

The reason the passing ship doesn’t see me is actually all my fault. I called off my choir boys all for hunting so no one was keeping the fire going. Then there was no smoke and no one saw us. I needed the boys for hunting to make a perfect circle. I made good progress and caught the pig. This gave everyone happiness and I still think I did the right thing.

The reason I lead the kids and made them chant was because I felt they needed something to be happy for and so that they could no that with work they will get results. My desire to kill comes from the taunting of the pig wagging its tail at me. It gives me a belligerence feeling. It also comes from the will for meat, the hunger, the pain of eating only rotten fruit. Mostly my desire to kill gives me respect and it lets all my anger of all the things that happened in life.

Lord Of The Flies-Post 3

Lord of the Flies
Chapter 3- Huts on the Beach
No One is helping!
Simons Perspective

I think that we need shelter for the littluns a lot. In our huts we should make them very opaque. We can tell that they are getting scared and to tell the truth so am I. At night we can hear them screaming in the night and we can tell they are having nightmares about this island, especially the beastie. After the missing kid with the mulberry scar disappeared everyone’s become more frightened. These shelters are supposed to make us feel more secure and to make us feel more like were at home. I think we mabye should make some perrcusion instruments for bonding like a castanet.
To get more work done around here were trying to assign jobs to everyone but without much luck. After every meeting which we have twice a day everyone promises to work hard all day. They work for about five minutes and then me and Ralph have to work the rest of the day making the huts ALONE! For us thi is to much vicissitudes. Jacks hunters are doing well keeping the fire alive but haven’t made any success in hunting pigs. All everyone does all day is bathes, plays, eats and sleeps. They’re all being way to lazy and I’m starting to get mad. Piggy didn’t say much today, he just stared into the water all day.
I think that the most important task is not going insane on this island. We have to all not fight and be peaceful. Today Jack and Ralph fought a little and I could already see them being torn apart. This would mainly be scary because Jack has a knife and could have total control over this island. Also Jack is getting to many compulsions about this pig thing. He is being to rapt about killing.
I have black hair and now I have also gotten a pretty good tan. I have no shoes and have torn shorts.
If we don’t get rescued soon I think everyone including me is going to go mad for power. If that does happen then I hope to be in a peaceful place when it does. I can only hope for the best and hope we all get rescued before any of that happens.
The reason I went up the island alone was because I wanted peace. Now that I am out in the wild I can try to find my inner self. Also all this playing is getting to my head. I want a place to get some quietness.

Lord of The Flies- Post 2

Lord of The Flies
Chapter 2: Fire on the Mountain
Why won’t they listen?
Piggy’s perspective

I think our island is a good one. I think it’s good because it has lots of the supplies we need like fruits, fresh water and lots of pigs. Another reason this island is good is because there is a reef that goes around the whole island which protects the waters we swim in from sharks and other dangerous see creatures.
Well one day a kid came over to hold the conch shell and he looked very martyred. He said there was some sort of “Beastie.” He said it was some sort of large snake. Ralph doesn’t believe it though but that kid seems pretty serious. Ralph has pretty much induced me but I don't know about the others. Also my enemy Jack says that if he sees it that he will hunt it down and kill it. So at the moment I’m not sure what were going to about this “beastie.” I think to all the littluns this symbolizes fear and no safety. The beastie doesn’t scare me much because Ralph says it’s not real and there’s nothing to be afraid of but every time I walk alone in the forest I feel as if this “Beastie” is watching me.
My original plan to get rescued more quickly was to light a fire at the top of the mountain. Then moments later became a glorious Ralph plan. They never listen anymore. They are officious. When they lit the fire we had no more time because it had become dark. I told them earlier but they just won’t listen to me, only to Ralph. Right now I would love to be rescued because I love my auntie and I would love to see her again. Also my asthma could kick in any time and i could die on this horrid island.
The fire we started at the top of the mountain was made by steeling my specs. They didn’t even ask me they just took them from me and increased the heat of the sunlight on some wood and made a fire. Soon that fire got way out of control and became humongous. They have no self control and they just act like a bunch of kids. If we want to keep our ebullience on this island were going to have to think ahead.
Oh and remember that kid that talked about the beastie? He disappeared. People are now starting to think that the beastie is real and it took him. No everyone including me is beginning to get scared of this thing except Ralph who is sticking to thinking it’s fake. The most horrible part is they blame me and say that I was in charge of EVERY SINGLE KID while they were gone. To me everyone is being very errant.
I think there is a difference between me and all the other boys here. That is that I realize that we have to act like adults if we want to be alive when we get rescued. We have to make a government, do our jobs make shelter find food and water because I know that no one is going to rescues us in a long time.
Every night now I’m scared and am starting to realize that we never might get rescued and that we might live here for the rest our lives. I’m scared.

Lord of the Flies
Chapter 1-Sound of the Shell
Who’s The Leader
Perspective: Ralph

On this island is a motif of trees, sand and seagulls. There is a large mountain that we climbed yesterday and we discovered that a effulgence coral reef makes up a barrier around the island. We also saw all the intricacies. Yesterday the weirdest thing happened. We got stuck in a storm and we were put on this island. Are plane was perfect until that bloody storm came right into our plane. Today I met some kids that might actually be of some use on this island. We all decided to stay as a communion. Some of there names are Jack who is a leader of the choir boys who I appointed the hunters and Piggy who seems to know a lot about things that might come in handy. So far we have discovered no adults and so someone here has to take charge. Jack wanted to but we decided to vote and I was put into leadership. Jack seemed ok with that but I saw a little disapproval so I let him have control over his quire boys. They chose there jobs as the hunters. Since I have the conch it seems like I have a power to control everyone and I’m the only one that can call a meeting. Yeah so I’m the chief and I think that’s good because I know what our plan is; Scout the island, find food, water and shelter. I think we might even have to matins everyday. If we manage to do all of this I think we might survive.
